Possession of Ammunition

The client hired us to defend them against a case they were charged with when TSA officials found ammunition in their luggage at LGA airport. We convinced the ADA to dismiss the charges after explaining that this was a student who goes to a local gun range (they live out of state) and somehow there was an errant bullet in theit carryon bag they were not aware of. This case is a Class A Misdemeanor and would have caused them to have a conviction on their criminal history had we not been able to get the case dismissed. The client is in college and planning to work in finance on Wall St. and any conviction for this would have derailed their career immediately.
