Eli Crozier

Eli Crozier is a former prosecutor who began his legal career with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, widely regard as one of the best DA’s offices in the nation.

There, Eli was trained by the best on the ins and outs of prosecuting a case from beginning to end: drafting a criminal complaint immediately after an arrest; presenting felony cases to the Grand Jury for indictment; drafting search warrants; negotiating plea offers; conducting suppression hearings; and taking cases to trial in front of a jury.

In addition to handling a full range of cases from misdemeanors to violent felonies, Eli was a felony ADA in the Sex Crimes Unit and responsible for investigating and prosecuting sex crimes.

Now as a criminal defense attorney, Eli uses his unique insight, knowledge, and experience to best defend your case. He will protect your rights, build a strong defense strategy, and ultimately deliver the best possible outcome given the client’s unique set of circumstances.

Critically, Eli was trained and immersed in New York State’s monumental bail and discovery reforms while still with the DA’s office, which has revolutionized how cases are handled. Eli knows from experience what it takes for a prosecutor to become “compliant” on a case only after turning over every scrap of discovery, and therefore knows how to make proper challenges when he notices that discovery may be missing, discovery that another attorney without that experience may not even know exists.

Additionally, Eli has considerable training and experience on how law enforcement investigates and builds DWI cases. Like Jeff Greco, he has also been certified by NHTSA on how to properly conduct standardized field sobriety tests. This training allows him to identify mistakes made by police during their DWI investigation, mistakes even the prosecutor likely is not aware of because they do not have the same training and certification. Eli will expose these mistakes when the police officer takes the stand.

Eli is a fighter in every sense of the word. He brought his fighting skills to the boxing ring and fought (victoriously) his fellow prosecutors in Battle of the Barristers IX, a sanctioned boxing match. After fighting the prosecutors in the ring, he now fights them in the courtroom, all the while fighting tirelessly for his clients.
